It was quite some time ago now that we discovered that 2010 was going to be really busy for us as a young family. The first 7 months of the year was going to include 4 weddings, holy communion and confirmation, friends 40th birthdays, soccer carnivals, etc. etc. The fun was about to begin.
First up was my brother-in-laws wedding in Sydney, so we booked our flights (national travel makes things so much more familiar and simple), found some great deals on accommodation and started planning our holiday.
We travelled down and had a marvellous time exploring the rocks, enjoying some great food and all inclusive breakfasts, pounded the pavement at circular quay, walked around the Opera House taking many photo opportunities and travelled on a ferry to Darling Harbour. We caught the monorail through the city and fought blisters on our 5 year old's feet and let me say that the train from the airport was fabulous for our arrival.
I must now take time to commend the bride and groom on a wonderful wedding and venue. The reception was outstanding in location and service as we enjoyed our evening of fun and frivolity at the Museum of Contemporary Art at Circular Quay. They even ducked across the road to get the kids some sausage rolls to enjoy our dinner of fancy delicacies.
